Academic foundation

Although sales (management) is a practical profession, it is based on knowledge and insight that can be best understood using a scientific approach. Based on practical research, this scientific approach consists of obtaining knowledge and insight from the practice of sales, assessing these for practical effectiveness, and subsequently using them. We are the only institute that has an academic sales board of eight professors who are authorities in their area of expertise. Sales professionals can increase their knowledge, restructure insights obtained, and link these insights to their own experience. Sales as a specialty

Sales and account management is a profession. However, there is no full-fledged academic educational program available for this profession in the regular (Dutch) educational system. Various training courses do pay attention to sales and account management but nowhere is this a key component in education. However, companies do identify, recognize, and organize sales and account management as a worthy business discipline. EURIS sees sales and account management as a specialty that must be positioned centrally so that the developments in sales and in influential disciplines such as business economics, marketing, neuro-economics, procurement and psychology can be coherently integrated.
